CHEZ LILA

Chez Lila is an interface film inspired by nobody.live, a website that offers access to Twitch livestreams with no viewers. Caught somewhere between oversharing and the hope of finally being seen, the film explores the loneliness of a young streamer, Lila, as she shares her progress in game development. Within her map, reality, its representation, and her unconscious coexist: the boundaries between different layers of reality gradually blur, eventually transforming into a pseudo–red room* for the viewer.

*Red rooms are alleged live broadcasts depicting the torture, murder, suicide, or rape of one or more people. In reality, they belong more to the realm of urban legend than to fact.
